Design and Portability
The Ascent is known for its simple, yet appealing design. It is almost the same size as a mobile phone so you can easily carry it in your pocket or handbag. When you are not using the vaporizer, you can store the glass stem back into the unit without hassle. The flip out bottom allows you to load and unload the Ascent, no matter where you are. The vaporizer weighs around 190 grams, which is considerably more than some of the lightest options available in the market such as the Pax 2 (less than 100 grams) and the Firefly 2, which weights less than 150. When it comes to temperature control, the Ascent is a great choice since its glass lined ceramic heating element that offers accurate temp control up to 430 degrees Fahrenheit. The unit heats up in about 50 seconds, which is the same time that you would normally get from devices of the same category. Although it is marketed as a convection vaporizer, in reality, it works more like an conduction unit since the vaping material is in direct contact with the bowl. The glass vapor path uses two internal glass sleeves that fit each other securely. To facilitate cleaning, it is possible to remove both glass sleeves.

It should be noted that the Ascent offers a large chamber, which can be practical when you to enjoy your session for longer. However, if you want to save vaping materials, you can mix your basic oils or concentrates with glass flowers to fill the chamber to get better heat distribution. As previously mentioned, the battery life is quite good for a portable vaporizer.
